Along post

Good morning, wow it has been a while since I popped on to my blog it has been a hectic month to say the least, first Sammie had some kind of seisure and ended up in hospital, she had to have lots of tests done and a lumbar puncture which left her dizzy and unable to walk properly for a while, I stayed up most night watching her sleep to make sure she didnt have another one, we are due to see the brain specialist in a few weeks for the results of all the tests, I was so scared I thought she was going to die, then we had Shaleise, she has suffered with chronic constipation since birth and after years of test I suggested she get a second opinion, it tunrs out she has spina bifida which they have missed for the last 22 years, the nerves to her bowel was being crushed by her spine and would never work no matter what they tried to do so she was rushed in for her bowel removing and a stoma fitting, she is home now and learning to live with it but they found a problem with her heart sigh, I am not sure how I have not gone full blown looney! I have had lots of panics and tears but feel a little calmer now, I have done nothing but sew for the last few weeks as it calms my nereves so today I am sharing a card and gift I made....

I got the cross stitch chart as a digital downlaod from Lili of the Valley "Here" now the chart is so good and they provide you with and extra chart for the back stitch, I have lost count of how may times I have not been able to see a key as the back stitch went over it, so these are amazing especially for some one like me who is still learning, the baby on the rocking horse is also a digital stamp "Here"....

I used an alphabet I had here to add my details and then popped it in to a 8x8 frame...

I coloured with both Spectrum Noir "Markers" and "Pencils" and used "Nitwits stuffed Love  papers" I just added some ribbon a dummy and a mini peg, I hope to be back in the swing of things very soon, so please forgive my lack of commenting, I am getting back in to it, thank youso much for looking today, hugs Pops x x x

Good morning, first let me say sorry for my lack of posts and visits, I have been such a bad blogger of late, life has been hectic, we had men most of last week trying to fix the lift, they have fixed it now but it took 2 men and three days, so my routine is back and I promise to be better from now on, today I am sharing a baby card with you, this image is an older one that is not in stock anymore....

I coloured the image with my speccies on to Neenah Card, and used a die cut and matching layer, I printed out some Nitwit papers, I layered the spotty one over the squared on to some white card, I added some lace and ribbon then stuck it to the card base, I used 3d pads to pop on my baby, I added a bow with a dummy attatched, I then printed my sentiment and added a mini peg, and a few pearls to finish, I kept it clean when I so wanted to ink the edges, thank you for looking today biggest of hugs love Pops x x x

Playful cats

Good morning, I am struggling with my energy levels today, I am melting I hate the heat, I cannot wait for Autumn where I can breathe again, I sat yesterday as I have 4 cards to make and it took me all day to colour one image, I didnt even get it made in to a card :0( today I am sharing a cat card, I have fallen in love with Inkylicious and all the ways you can play with their stamps, I love watercolour the best so I played with my Spectrum Noir Aqua's for my card, this is for my hospital pile...

I used watercolour card and spectrum noir aqua markers to make the back ground, I then used the Kimono cherry blossom die to create the branch and leaves, I added a pearl to the centre of each one, I then stamped the cat with black ink and the butterflies I coloured with a  Aqua marker and stamped them on, I added white dots to each butterfly, I then mounted it on to kraft card using 3d pads and then on to a card base again using 3d pads, and I added a sentiment, thank you for looking today big hugs Pops x x x

Good morning I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, mine was as always super busy, I took advantage of the nice weather and cleared my washing and had a summer cleam through, and a huge sort out. I also got a little table so I can now colour each day without having to sit on the floor, I would love a dedicated craft area but as the house keep getting adapted I am loosing more and more space so I have a tiny little corner and now I have a tiny table to fit in it I feel complete again, I am still on the Elephants today....

I used some Kraft card to make my base as I have run out of shop bought ones, I then had a play with my spectrum Aqua markers to create a background, I stamped the little Elephants on to watercolour card and coloured them with Spectrum Aquas too, I cut them out with a pair of nail scissors (I couldnt get the dies) and I used one of the sentiments and cut this out using a Blueprint, I them cut out the backpanel also using a Blueprint and used 3d pads to adhere it to the card, I added 3d pads to the sentiment and the elephants and finished of with 3 small sequins, thank you so much for looking today, hugs Pops x x x

Snuggle Bunnies

Good morning, wow it has been a while since I posted, there has been lots going on here, first I needed a new table and I needed to clear out all my kitchen, while waiting for this the girls went out to get the rabbits in for the night and they thought they saw a squirel it turned out to be a Chinchilla, we advertised it on all the pages and left details of it everywhere, no one came forward for the little guy and it took us a while to find a rescue centre here that could take him, so he lived in a cat carrier...

we did let him out to play and cuddle him but boy they are fast and wow do they chew, I spent almost al the time keeping an eye on him, while the dog and the Ragdoll cats didnt seen fazed by him the Maine Coon cat wanted to snack on him, I was so on edge, but he has gone now so life can go back to being relaxed...

I have played with my spectum Aqua's to make this card, I stamped these cuties on water colour card and coloured them up, I couldnt get the dies so I used a pair of nail scissors to cut the out, I die cut the back panel in some patterned paper I had, I cute the frame and used 3d pads to pop it up slightly, I then added the little cuties with more 3d pads, I stamped the sentiment and added the heart and used 3d pads to make that pop also, thank you for looking today, hugs Pops x x x

No card from me

I know it has been a while since I posted a card, I have sort of lost my mojo at the moment, I think its my back when it is sore the last thing I want to do it sat at the table to make a card, so I have been laid on my bed catching up with tv and cross stithing, I can do this laid down too, so I thought I would share a few things so you can see I am busy just not making cards...

This pig and the Teddy below is from the super talented Durene Jones, she has a facebook page HERE she gives away free patterns on a regular basis I started with a couple of her free patterns while I built up the courage to do a big one, and she also has an Etsy shop HERE where she sells her super gorgeous designs...

I am so pants at doing the back stitching so I like Durene's charts as they do not have to much on them, this next one I made for a friend who took it in a good way....

The pattern was bought from Snaklily HERE I just love this one and other than the words there was no backstitching...

This Basset is a Riolis Kit, I was a little scared at first as it is done with multi strands and I have only ever used dmc thread, what I love it that you can choose the length you want, this one however was a total disaster, I went for a hot bubble bath, stupid me left the it all at the table, the cat no sure which one of the 4 swiped it off the table but the dog chewed the chart to bit, all I had left was the little picture from the packaging, but I carried on and finished this for my best pal, I really enjoyed it despite it been massive, but hubby got me a clip frame and what a difference that made he is such a good guy....

This is the one I am working one now, it is another Rioloss kit I have to say I may have a problem as I want them all :0) this is 2 hedgehogs and I am making this one for a dear friend who rescues them, I then have a dog one to do for my good friend and then I am hoping to get the fox one for myself, thank you for looking today hugs Pops x x x

White again

Good morning, I totally missed yesteday, Noodles decided to stand on the bannister above the stairs and with an upset tummy he repainted the whole of the stairs, walls, carpet, I had a total cleaning day yesterday, and this morning I caught him eating a plant that is poking through the fence and within a few minutes he was  repainting the garden, plant has now been ripped out, and to his horror he has been washed in a bowl, he is not major sulking with me and will not come near me, anyways today I am still on white...

I printed my sentiment and die cut it using a heart die, I then cut the largest heart die with a scallop edge and they didnt nest, (xcut) so I thought I would still use it, I used a Floral enbossing folder for my back panel and popped some 3d pads behind it, I then glued the scallop heart down and added 3d pads to the plain heart, I added some die cut flowers and leaves with a gem in the centre,  and I used the smallest 2 plain heart dies and added some gems, thank you for looking today, hugs Pops x x x

Good morning, I am today sharing another simple white card, I have a fair few still to share...

I started by printing my sentiment on a bit of card, I then lined it up with a card blank and trimmed it to fit, I used my score board to create lines along the bottom, and I die cut some of Sara's flowers and added them with 3d foam along the line, I used 3d foam to adhere the  panle to the card blank, I them added some pearls to the centre of each flower and finished with a punched butterfly with gems, simple but white, thank you for looking today hugs Pops x x x

Good morning I have finally got my laptop back, so pleased I took out that guarentee, it was a nightmare not being able to get online properly, I can do it by my mobile but kept running out of data, anyways  I am back and can post and comment :0) so today I am sharing a super simple card using up some scraps  and a couple of Crafters Companion dies, I am trying to use us scraps and make more of my dies, I dont have that many but thought I should use them more...

I used Kraft Card for my base, and I added this bit of scrap papers, I stamped on a sentiment, and then the I used my dies to cut out the reverse of the paper to make pink flowers, the stem is actually the top of the paper, I am not kean on wasting anything, I used a different die to cut out the leaves...

Its nice and simple but used up some scraps, I actually prefer making simple cards with paper, thank you for looking today biggest of hugs love Pops x x x

Good morning, today I am sharing a card for my hospital pile, featuring the cute Peaches...

I found a bit of watercolour paper and tried my Aquablend pencils out on this, I have to say it works about the same on the mixed media and the watercolour, I prefer the watercolour as it has a bit of texture and they blend nicer, I have just printed out Peaches and coloured her with my pencils, I used a pink to matt her to using 3d foam pads, I added a sentiment and 3 small sequins, some white pen, liquid pearls and glitter and left it simple, thank you for looking today hugs Pops x x x

Long time no see!

Good morning, I didnt realise I had been gone so long, first the flu then a bad back then all the paperwork to do, this time of a year is always so busy for me, I have managed to secure my youngest another year at college with a one to one helper so my job is done :0) I am now free to create again and I am so happy, amazing what a bit of colour can do to make you smile, I am trying out Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils for the first time, and I want to say they are juciy for a pencil and so pleasing to play with, you all know I much prefer water colour to markers as I relax using them....

Today I am playing with a Wplus9 stamp called new day...

I stamped it on to some mixed media card as I dont have any watercolour card but these pencils are so juicy that it worked fabulously, I just added some water on a paintbrush and blended the colours out, I used a wet paintbrush on the end of the pencils to create splats and it worked too :0)) so happy, the sentiment came with the stamp and I just layered the image on to some blue card with foam pads to lift it up, a couple of sequins, a few dots of white pen and it was complete, no glitter either, thank you for looking today hugs Pops x x x
