Little Christmas Angel Gift Box Tutorial (pic heavy)

I love to make altered items as well as cards but I don't always share them on my blog, this one was in issue 4 of the Whimsy magazine and I thought I would share it with you today....

I start of with a plain wooden box ...

You can see it is also plain on the inside too...

I take out all the screw and put them to one side...

I use cheap white emulsion paint, it doesn't matter if you do not cover it all I only do a very light coat as I want to see some of the wood through the paint....

I used Nitwits papers this one is from Winter Wishes, digital papers are perfect if you make a mistake you can just print of another sheet without worrying you have enough...

I then use my Crafters Pick Ultra Tacky Glue, this is perfect if you get a little bit of glue on the front of your paper it doesn't matter as you can just rub it off, I also use this glue for my flowers as soon as you have put your paper on remember to find your screw holes I use a little pin to poke a hole in the paper....

I chose one of Crissy Armstrong's images for the top of my box, this one is Little Christmas Angel, she has been printed on to Neenah Card and coloured with Copics, I used a circle Nestie to cut it out, and the scallop to mount it, I added some Wild Roses, Cherry Blossoms and I dipped them in to my glue then dipped them in to Silver German Glass Glitter and left to dry before I glued them on, the sparkle on these flowers look amazing, I added some die cut leaves and red pearls and a double heart which I have also painted, sanded and dipped in the Glitter Glass, and I have added a Bow using some Seam Binding....

To finish the box of, I took it outside and sprayed the whole box with glitter varnish, after 5 minutes it is dry and ready to use, I think this is a really nice gift for someone and it didn't take long to make....

Today is Teej's 14th Birthday, he is my youngest and today I feel really old, I am sharing a picture with you, this is him at three months old and in this picture he weighed 3 lb and 3oz, when he was born 16 weeks early he weighed just 1lb 7oz and was so poorly, I cannot believe that he is here today and 14, he is now 5 foot 2 inches this is the little boy that beat all the odds, and he is now a right cheeky chappy but worth every minute of worry, Happy Birthday Gorgeous Boy, thank you so much for looking today and any comments that you may leave biggest of hugs love Pops x x x x 

Elf Bell Mouse

Good afternoon everyone, I don't know what is going on with blogger today I just keep getting timed out, I have been trying to leave comments and it is driving me nuts, today I am sharing a card I made for the Whimsy Magazine, using Elf Mouse Bell, I was so pleased to see not only this card but a project in there too....

I have stamped my image on to Neenah Card and coloured with copics, the papers are Authenic Wonder and they have all been distressed, I have added a strip of Ribbon and added a Moonstone Brad to the bow, I have added a Whimsy Sentiment and cut it with my Ticket Die I have added a heart covered in German Glass Glitter my flowers are Wild Roses, 25mm Open Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, 10mm Open Roses I have added a Heart Pin to the top flowers and some die cut Holly...

One Layout Two cards

Good Morning, I am sharing two creations today both are my favourite at the moment....

First up is Make a Wish, isn't she a sweetie, I have printed her on to Neenah Card and she has been coloured with copics and a touch of Stardust, I have used Kraft Card for my base, Leaves and Butterfly, the papers are K&Co and have been distressed, I have added some Muslin behind my image and a gorgeous Chrysanthemum how gorgeous are these, I have added some Cherry Blossoms, 15mm Open Roses and some Aster Daisies, again I have added a touch of Stardust for a little sparkle, the sentiment is from stash and I have added some Blue Gems and a little bit of Seam Binding....

Next up is Big Guy Jogging, he has been printed on to Neenah Card and again coloured with copics and again I have used Kraft Card as my base...

I have used Away we Go Papers and distressed all the edges, I have kept this one simple as I know that he only does simple, I have added some Stars using Bazzill card and the sentiment is done on my embossing machine...

Just Magnolia Challenge

This week at Just Magnolia we would like to see Christmas, we are sponsored by The Cutting Cafe and I have used a sentiment on my card perfect for what I wanted, we are also sponsored by The Ribbon Girl with a selection of ribbon for a lucky winner be sure to check out the JM blog....

I have stamped my Tilda on to Neenah Card and coloured her with copics, I have used a doily that has been spritzed with glimmer mist although you cannot see it on my pics it is lovely and sparkly in real life, The paper is Bo Bunny Blitzen I have added 2 Metal Corners and painted them white, I have added some Clear Gems, the flowers are Large Gardenia,   25mm Open Roses, 15mm Open Roses and 10mm Open Roses and I have used some Bazzill for my Holly leaves, I have added Stardust to it all for lots of sparkle and I have added a Wooden Tree on the inside...

Saturated Canary Challenge

Sorry I am late I have had to defrag my pc and it has taken forever, then it still not working keeps telling me I need a something X to make it work, I will get Lee to look at it when he is home...

The Challenge this week is 1-2-3 that's 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments, a nice and easy challenge...

I have used Kate Krafy and she has been printed on to Neenah Card and colouerd her with copics, I have used Kraft Card for my base, Leaves, Butterfly and my Banner, the papers are K&Co and my flowers are Curly Roses, 25mm Open Roses and Sweetheart Blossoms, I have added some Pearls and some Gems...

Good Morning

I have some babies that was born on Monday, I am not sure how many there is in there as she has covered them with straw and sawdust and all her fur, I have just been to feed her and give her some fresh water and she has built a barricade so I cannot even see, Rabbits are so clever, I can hear then squeaking though so sweet, today sees a new challenge at Lili of the Valley but it is not my teams turn but as it it Thursday I though I would still post a Lili of the Valley card, I love my routine and find it hard to break it...

I made this simple card, I know it was so hard not to add lots to it, I have used a die cut square and some Lost and Found papers and used my Liquid pearls to go around the edges, I have added some Seam Binding with a button on the bow and some Blooms with a 20mm Open Rose in the centre and some pearls down each side...

Tiddly Inks Challenge

Good morning gorgeous bloggers, today sees a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks and this week there is a colour combo, which I loved using, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Black, White and Silver what a gorgeous combo...

I have used Fairy Fae she has wings :0) she has been printed on to Neenah Card and coloured with copics, I have used Kraft Card as my base and for my Leaves and Butterfly, the papers are K&CO and I have added a strip of Black Lace, some Seam Binding, a Doily, the flowers are Curly Roses, 25mm Open Roses, Cherry Blossoms and 15mm Open Roses, I have added some Silver Gems and a silver heart with a silver charm...

Wild Orchid Craft's Challenge

I have 2 little darlings home with me this week the eldest has chosen to volunteer all week at the nursery she has been placed at, I am so proud that she has chosen to do this, the other 2 have got the Sim's pets so I very much doubt other than meal times I will see them, so much for the crafting week we had planned, anyway on to today's Wild Orchid Craft's challenge, this time its a Santa, now I have no Santa's at all in any of my stamps or digital collection but I found one by Crissy for Whimsy and chose to use him he is called Classic Santa...

Sorry about the picture quality my camera batteries had ran out so used one of the girls, Lee went and got me some rechargeable batteries now so I never have to worry again, I have printed my Santa on to Neenah Card and coloured him with copics, I have added Crackle Accents to his sack and Glossy Accents to his boots and belt, a little Stardust for sparkle, the papers are Bo Bunny Father Christmas, I have distressed all the edges, I have added a Ticket Sentiment and used my Ticket  Die to cut it out I have stapled a bit of Gingham Ribbon the the edge, I have added a Metal Corner that I have chalked over to change the colour, my flowers are Sweetheart Blossoms and Wild Roses and I have added a Wooden Star....

Mr Fix It for DP2

I am sharing a card with an image I requested, I am entering this in to DP2 as my fave Image and a sentiment, well all of Mo's images are my fave they are all so gorgeous you couldn't really pick a fave, but this is my new fave today and prefect for what I wanted...

I have printed Mr Fix it on to Neenah Card and coloured him with copics, I have used Nitwits At The Park digital Papers, I have added a few stars and the black sentiment was done with my embosser HERE and I have stamped the word Mr Fix It on to a bit of scrap card...

Zorana

I am sharing 2 cards today using the same image from Krista she is called Zorana A Dancing Gypsy and I just love her dress...

She was printed on to Neenah Card and coloured with Copics, the papers are Breeze and have all been distressed, I have used Kraft Card for my base, Leaves and Butterflies, I have added some Gems on the Butterflies and across the top, I have used 25mm Open Roses, Cherry Blossoms, Sweetheart Blossoms and 15mm Open Roses, the sentiment is from stickers....

This next one is the same image....

The papers are Blink of an Eye and again they have been distressed, I have added a Whimsy Sentiment and cut it with the matching Die and the flowers were made using MFT dies, I have added a Moonstone Brad through the centre of each, I have used a MFT Heart and run it through my ribbler...

Feel your Boobies :0)

The challenge at Just Magnolia this week is Pink for October's Breast Cancer awareness, and I want you all to feel your boobies while you are reading this :0) it only takes a few moments of your time and puts your mind at rest....

I have stamped my Tilda on to Neenah Card and coloured her with Copics, the papers are scraps of Tilda and I have distressed all the edges, I have added some Gingham Ribbon with a Pink Button on the bow and a strip of my favorite Lace, the flowers are Trellis Roses, Poppies, 10mm Open Roses and Gypsophila and a Whimsy Sentiment...

Little Ballerina

Good morning it is Thursday, now is it just me or are these weeks flying by? I seem to be loosing days it is going that fast, there is a new challenge at Lili of the Valley this week and it is Bingo, I love weeks like this when you can get to choose what it is you want to do, and there is a new launch too, a set of gorgeous grundge sentiments see HERE and a new super cute Digital yes I said Digital image HERE....

I have gone for the top row on my bingo card, Gems, Distressing and Pins....

I have used one of my faves Little Ballerina she is just a dream to colour, she has been stamped on to Neenah Card and coloured with Copics and I got out my Stardust to make her sparkle, I have used Kraft Card as my base and Leaves, the papers are Nitwits Grin and Bear it (yes again lol they are so moreish) and I have Distressed all the edges, I have used Muslin (to be released soon from WOC)  and distressed the edges of that too, I have added lots of Pink Gems, and my flowers are Curly Rose, Poppies,10mm Open Roses and the gorgeous Tulips and just popping out of the top of the flowers I have added a Pink and Ivory Crown Pin...

Whimsy Challenge

This week at Whimsy the challenge is Make your own flowers and use a sentiment, nice and easy this one....

I have used a In my Garden sentiment, and I have printed on to Neenah Card as I wanted to add a touch of colour, I have used Kraft Card as my base fro my Butterflies and the hearts, I have used Grin and Bear it Nitwit Papers, just love these ones so much, the flowers are made using some super soft Pink Felt with a Button on each one, I have also used the felt for my hearts, I have added a few Pink Gems and distressed all the edges...

The challenge at Mo's Digital pencil this week is inspired by a song, I had a wedding card to make and was humming this to myself Love is in the air, there has been lots of wedding just lately, so there is some love in the air....

I have used Bride and Groom Dancing and printed on to Neenah Card I have used Kraft Card as my base, for the Leaves and Butterflies, I have added some Gems to the Butterflies, I have coloured with Copics and distressed all the edges, the papers are Digital Nitwits I have to say these are my fave as pink and brown are my fave these are called Grin and Bear it, I have added some Muslin (to be released soon) and Curly Roses, Cherry Blossoms, 10mm Open Roses and Tulips, I have added 2 Crown Pins and no glitter!...

Tiddly Inks Challenge

Good morning today sees a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks and this week the challenge is Halloween, not long now until it is here and I get reminded every day by Teej but he says he doesn't know what he wants for his Birthday geez he usually has a huge list...

I always struggle to get photos of Easel cards and it looks a bit dull as I used dark colours...

I used Sugar Angel and I printed her on to Neenah card and coloured her with copics, the paper is Glitz and I have used Cheery Lynn dies to make my card, I have added a die cut haunted house, some Black flowers with Gem Brads through the centre, Large Curly Rose and Cherry Blossom, I have added Alphabet Stickers for my sentiment and heaps of Silver Stickles...

Gracie's Roses for Sunday's with Crissy

Good Morning it is my turn to post my card for the Thank you/Thanks giving challenge, here in the U.K. we do not celebrate thanks giving so I have made a Thank You card using the gorgeous Gracie's Roses she is available to buy from Whimsy Stamps HERE as a Digital image.....

I have printed Gracie on to Neenah Card and coloured her with Copic Markers, I have used Kraft Card as a base and for my Leaves and sentiment, the papers are a new set by Nitwits called Grin and Bear it I have distressed all the edges. I have added some Muslin (to be released soon) and my flowers are Curly Roses, Cherry Blossoms, 10mm Open Roses and Tulips, I have added 2 Crown Pins to the flowers and as always Butterflies with Gems and some Stardust...
