A full on card

Good morning I was aksed to make a birthday card by Liddie for one of her friends, I have taken my photo before I have added my sentiment as I dont want her to see it online before she see's it in person, I have used 2 gorgeous images from The Paper Shelter one of my all time fave shops :0)

I printed my stamps on to Neenah card and coloured them using Spectrum Noir Markers, I used Kraft card as my matt, the papers are just loose scraps I had that I wanted to use up, I added a few layers, I distress all the edges with tea dye and ran my cutter bee along the edges, I aded some lace and ribbin, I popped some cheesecloth behind the image and added 3d foam pads to make it pop up slighlty, I then added some pearls and a selection of flowers and a touch of glitter to her skirt and hair bobble, I would like to enter this in to "The Paper Shelter Challenge" which is birthdays, thank you for looking today biggest of hugs love Pops x x

Love...

Good morning I have finally got my laptop back, so pleased I took out that guarentee, it was a nightmare not being able to get online properly, I can do it by my mobile but kept running out of data, anyways  I am back and can post and comment :0) so today I am sharing a super simple card using up some scraps  and a couple of Crafters Companion dies, I am trying to use us scraps and make more of my dies, I dont have that many but thought I should use them more...

I used Kraft Card for my base, and I added this bit of scrap papers, I stamped on a sentiment, and then the I used my dies to cut out the reverse of the paper to make pink flowers, the stem is actually the top of the paper, I am not kean on wasting anything, I used a different die to cut out the leaves...

Its nice and simple but used up some scraps, I actually prefer making simple cards with paper, thank you for looking today biggest of hugs love Pops x x x

Scruffy Little Kitten

Good morning, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, mine was very busy giving the house a spring clean and looking for things, I have lost a few things like my glue gun and I have searched the house and not found it, I hate it when that happens, baffling! anyway today I am sharing a card with a Scruffy Little Kitten stamp...

Don't look to closely I have tried to do this with scissors as my cutter is broken :0( I stamped out my image on Neenah card and coloured her with my Spectrum Noir Markers, I added some white pencil and pen, and some little dots of liquid pearls around the image, I ran my cutter bee alone the edges for a bit of texture, I layered her to Kraft card, I added some cheesecloth behind my image, I used scrap paper for my card, I added some ribbon and a bow and some flat pearls, thank you for looking today hugs Pops x x x

Peaches

Good morning, today I am sharing a card for my hospital pile, featuring the cute Peaches...

I found a bit of watercolour paper and tried my Aquablend pencils out on this, I have to say it works about the same on the mixed media and the watercolour, I prefer the watercolour as it has a bit of texture and they blend nicer, I have just printed out Peaches and coloured her with my pencils, I used a pink to matt her to using 3d foam pads, I added a sentiment and 3 small sequins, some white pen, liquid pearls and glitter and left it simple, thank you for looking today hugs Pops x x x

Long time no see!

Good morning, I didnt realise I had been gone so long, first the flu then a bad back then all the paperwork to do, this time of a year is always so busy for me, I have managed to secure my youngest another year at college with a one to one helper so my job is done :0) I am now free to create again and I am so happy, amazing what a bit of colour can do to make you smile, I am trying out Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils for the first time, and I want to say they are juciy for a pencil and so pleasing to play with, you all know I much prefer water colour to markers as I relax using them....

Today I am playing with a Wplus9 stamp called new day...

I stamped it on to some mixed media card as I dont have any watercolour card but these pencils are so juicy that it worked fabulously, I just added some water on a paintbrush and blended the colours out, I used a wet paintbrush on the end of the pencils to create splats and it worked too :0)) so happy, the sentiment came with the stamp and I just layered the image on to some blue card with foam pads to lift it up, a couple of sequins, a few dots of white pen and it was complete, no glitter either, thank you for looking today hugs Pops x x x

Oh My!!

Good morning well I am finally sorted out and the garden is complete, what a nightmare it turned out to be, we got it all ready and yes that includes me, the driver came with the stones and dropped them on the path, he couldn't get his truck in the garden as it was to heavy and would have cracked the drainage system, so we spent the full day with a spade shoveling it to the garden, I swear I used muscles I never even knew existed I am so stiff even today, the kitchen floor ended up being a mud bath it took me ages to get it clean and then it was dirty again sigh, but it has ended up being really good as Lids can now park in the garden so no more scratches and bumps on her car and it will save her £70 a year in parking fees for parking in the street :0) I have been behind on my card making and comments as it took a lot longer than expected, but well worth it....

I even got Sam out there helping too, it doesn't look very big here but it is a size...

I saved all the plants in the edges as my twins rose bushes are there and I spent a lot of reflective time here, and it looks so nice when they are all in bloom...

I had a super quick colour of this cutie she is from The Paper Shelter and called "Oh My!!" I see both my girls in her they are always playing with our cats like this, she is just coloured with pencils and I added a sentiment and some glitter, thank you for looking today biggest of hugs love Pops x x x

Liddie with owl

Good morning today I am sharing another attempt at a bit of mixed media, I took inspiration from this photo of Liddie with a big ass scary owl, now remember I am just learning to draw so it is a simple make...

She has a thing for owls like I do with butterflies ( I am scared of real ones like I mean scream and run a mile ) so I wanted to make her a picture using an owl ewwwww I need more practice with drawing but I am enjoying myself and having so much fun, I tried to giver her arms and hands instead of sticks :0)

I drew my image and then used lots of scraps of paper, and then painted over them with pastel crayons and tombow markers, I added some die cut trees and clouds and wrote a little message and them I painted my girl and owl, I added stickles and lots of white paint I used a derwent watercolour pencil for the outline but should have used a charcoal one still its a learning curve, Lee just bought me an A4 watercolour art journal so I can play in that instead of on separate sheets he knows how to make me so happy, thank you for looking today biggest of hugs love Pops x x x
